Something is here. We are not saying what. Entry is possible. The experience is, as one might expect, somewhat unexplained.
The Orchard is the part of Banabé's universe that resists description most aggressively. It is not a shop. It is not an archive. It is not, technically, a garden, though there are elements of growth and decay that seem relevant.
What can be said: The Orchard is where Banabé keeps the things that do not belong elsewhere. The limited works. The things made in small quantities for no particular reason except that they seemed necessary. The objects that required making.
Access to the interior of The Orchard is managed carefully. Not as a marketing tactic — Banabé finds artificial scarcity aesthetically uninteresting. But because some things should be encountered rather than purchased. The distinction matters.
